2025 Development in NewBo Village

Positioned directly across from Newbo City Market and The Depot Development, in the heart of New Bohemia Main Street District (NewBo), stands the 329 Building, an integral component of the 2025 Development. Ahmann Companies worked to revitalize the historical building at the corner of 12th Avenue and 3rd street SE where a fire had previously forced the tenant to relocate. As part of an extensive revitalization endeavor, the adjacent vacant lot was reimagined into the 329 Building. The ground floor features commercial office and retail space, luxury apartment living on the second and third levels, while the top floor hosts several exclusive high-end condominium homes, capturing panoramic views and sophisticated living.

Following the impactful flood of 2008, Cedar Rapids has invested heavily in the revitalization of the NewBo area. With the opening of the Newbo Market in 2012 as the anchor, commercial real estate development has taken off. The 329 Building represents a testament to this resurgence, embodying Ahmann Companies' visionary approach of curating a work, live, and play ethos, attracting individuals to this dynamic district.

There’s definitely a ‘cool factor’ to the neighborhood,” said Craig Byers of Q4 Real Estate. “Because of that cool factor, office users are moving down to Newbo Village , and they know that employees appreciate the vibe and amenities and want to work in Newbo,” he said. Ahmann Companies broke ground on The Depot in 2016, and construction of the commercial real estate development was wrapped at the end of 2018 with the completion of the fourth building.
