Pecks Landing of Northeast Cedar Rapids
Located at the heavily traveled intersection of Edgewood Road and Blairs Ferry Road on the northeast side of Cedar Rapids, Pecks Landing is a growing commercial real estate development, home to many well-established retail, restaurant and service businesses. This new addition to Cedar Rapids was master-planned by Ahmann Companies as an easily accessible, pedestrian friendly real estate development where employees can enjoy the benefits of working, shopping and enjoying lunch at local restaurants within immediate area. Pecks Landing currently consists of two commercial retail buildings along Blairs Ferry Road and a new Kwik Star convenience store and gas station to the east. The northeast side of Cedar Rapids has grown immensely over the last several years with both a growing residential population and the addition of commercial real estate for sale and for lease at Edgewood Town Centre (ETC), The Fountains and Peck’s Landing. Since the flood of 2008, much of the new commercial and retail construction in Cedar Rapids has gone into the revitalization of the downtown area, but with the completion of Highway 100, Cedar Rapids has experienced a significant shift to expansion on northeast side of the city. “Our goal at Pecks Landing has been to create a professional atmosphere with many amenities which has been strong selling point for potential commercial office tenants,” said Joe Ahmann of Ahmann Companies. “We are willing to sell lots to potential office users or we can build and lease them a building too. We just want to bring more commercial office and retail space to this growing side of town,” he said.
With the completion of the new Highway 100 extension linking Collins Road/Highway 100 to Highway 30, the traffic counts in the area have risen to over 30,000 cars per day bringing potential shoppers to this highly popular commercial real estate area. In September of 2019, a 200,000 sf, new-to-market Fleet Farm opened just across Edgewood Road in the (ETC) commercial development attracting additional customer traffic, commercial business owners and retail shops to the area. Randy Kuehl Honda & Hilton Garden Inn opened new locations on neighboring properties located on N River Boulevard NE . More recently, the Buffalo Ridge townhome development has completed Phase I where 40 new luxury townhouse rentals are filling up fast. Peck’s Landing tenants enjoy the additional traffic this development has brought to the northeast side of the city and expect more to come in the future.

Craig received his BSBA in Commercial Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver in 2008.
Craig began his career in commercial real estate in 2008 assisting clients in the retail, office, industrial and multifamily industries. Some of Craig’s clients include Hy-Vee, Ryan Companies US, Inc., University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, University of Iowa Community Credit Union, Bank of the West as well as many other local, regional and national tenants and landlords. Craig has developed over 225,000 square feet of retail, office and apartments properties and has been involved in over $36 Million of commercial real estate transactions since 2014. Since joining Q4 Real Estate in 2017, Craig has been instrumental in the successful representation of many Ahmann Properties including The Depot, The Fountains, Peck’s Landing and Edgewood Town Center.

Jason is an Investment Property Strategist, Commercial Real Estate Broker, and Capital Fundraiser who works directly with commercial real estate buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants. He earned his degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Real Estate and Finance. Jason brings 15 years of experience in commercial investment real estate and has represented local investment property owners, multi-million-dollar institutions, and fundraised for partnerships. Jason joined the Pivot team in 2018 and has been busy leasing and selling properties for Ahmann Properties as well as representing other properties in the area markets.
Jason is married with two kids, Hollyce 3 ½ and Fritz 1 ½. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with family and friends and loves bicycling (Jason has done RAGBRAI 7 of last 10 years); he attends different Iowa sports, likes going to movies, and enjoys concerts/live music.
