(Craig) Hello everyone, I am Craig Byers and I’m standing here with Luke Rogers. (Craig) Right now we are standing here on the northwest corner of Kirkwood Blvd and Wright Brothers Blvd located on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids. Luke and I are going to be talking about the brand new mixed use development.
(Craig) So Luke why don’t we start off with what’s going to be going on directly behind us. (Luke) Right so directly behind us is going to be some brand new apartment buildings and condos that are going to be up for sale and for rent. (Craig) Looks like we are moving some dirt back here and are planning for some commercial lots.
(Craig) Can you tell us a little bit about the commercial lots that will be for sale. (Luke) Yeah Craig so there is going to be 11 commercial lots for sale here ranging between one and three acres. Those are going to be pad ready in August of 2022. (Craig) Perfect and if I wanted to buy one, what types of uses could go out here. (Luke) Yeah so Craig you can do anything from retail, office, high end flex space, quick service restaurant, and even a convenience store.
(Craig) Talk to me about the surrounding amenities that would want me to have my business located out here. (Luke) Yeah so a big one is Highway 380 which is just to our west here. You also have Kirkwood Community College, College Community School District and the airport about a mile away. (Craig) Behind us you can see a number of high value rooftops and homes along with a major development that is heading south of Wright Brothers Blvd with a few hundred single family residential homes coming there within the next several years.
